Terms of Service

RoboticEA lets you describe, generate, edit and test automated trading strategies, and to export a strategy as a MetaTrader 5 expert advisor file. You may use it to research ideas and to produce files you then run yourself, elsewhere.

Backtests, validations and replays run on our own trading engine, software we wrote in C++ and operate on our own servers. Your strategies are simulated there against historical market data. Nothing about a backtest touches a broker, a live account or real money.

The engine is also what makes the MetaTrader export possible: it is built so that a strategy can be expressed both as something our engine runs and as a MetaTrader 5 expert advisor, and we test the two against each other so the exported file behaves consistently. The internal design of the engine, the strategy generator and the translation between them is our proprietary technology and is not described here.

Nothing produced by RoboticEA (a generated strategy, a backtest, a validation, a leaderboard position, a replay or any figure shown in the interface) is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, or advice about whether a strategy is suitable for you. We do not know your circumstances and we do not assess them.

We are not a licensed investment firm and we do not provide portfolio management, brokerage, order execution or custody. We hold no client funds.

RoboticEA is not affiliated with MetaQuotes. We are not a partner, licensee, agent or authorised distributor of MetaQuotes Ltd, and we are not endorsed by them. MetaTrader and MetaTrader 5 are trademarks of MetaQuotes Ltd, used here only to describe compatibility.

We never trade in MetaTrader on your behalf, and we never run your strategies live. RoboticEA produces a strategy file that you may choose to install in your own MetaTrader terminal, under your own broker account, at your own discretion. We hold no credentials for your broker or your terminal, we place no orders, and we have no ability to do so. The only time we run anything in MetaTrader is on our own machines, for testing: to check that an exported strategy behaves the same way there as it does in our engine.

If you install an exported file in your own terminal and allow it to trade, that is your decision and your risk, subject to your broker’s terms. We cannot see, control, pause or reverse anything it does.

A backtest replays historical prices and applies a strategy’s rules to them. Our engine charges spread, commission and overnight financing where the chosen cost settings say to, and it will happily show you a losing result. But a simulation is still a simplification of a real market. Real execution involves slippage, requotes, liquidity gaps, broker-specific pricing and outages that no simulation reproduces exactly.

Some strategy types are more sensitive to these differences than others. Where we know a category of strategy is prone to flattering backtest results, we say so in the product rather than leaving you to find out with real money.

Past performance does not predict future results. A strategy that performed well historically may lose money immediately and continuously.

You need an account to use the service. Keep your credentials secret; you are responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account. Accounts are for individual use and may not be shared, resold or operated on behalf of others without our written agreement.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use the service where doing so would break local law.

The free tier includes a one-time allowance of tokens. Paid plans include a monthly token allowance that renews with your billing period. Tokens meter computation (running backtests and validations) and are not money, not transferable and have no cash value.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal as an EU consumer, that right applies and is not removed by these terms.

We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, you will be told before the change takes effect and may cancel instead.

You agree not to:

• resell, sublicense or redistribute the service or bulk-export its strategy library;
• attempt to extract, reverse engineer or reconstruct the engine, the strategy generator or the export mechanism;
• automate access in a way designed to evade plan limits, or share one account across multiple people;
• attack, overload or probe the service, or attempt to reach data that is not yours;
• use the service to break the law or your broker’s rules.

We may suspend an account that is doing these things, and will tell you why where we lawfully can.

Your strategies are yours. Specifications you create, and the expert advisor files you export, are yours to use, keep and run. Closing your account does not give us any claim over them.

The service itself — the engine, the generator, the interface, the strategy library and the underlying technology — remains ours. Using the product does not transfer any of it to you.

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, upstream failures and faults happen. We may change or remove features; where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, you may cancel.

The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or of anything it produces. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access for a material breach of these terms, or if required by law. On termination your right to use the service stops; the sections on ownership, liability and governing law survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and the courts of Finland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product before they take effect, and the “last updated” date above will change. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
